At each house we barely heard a "trick-or-treat" BUT we always heard, "I'm BATMAN! and she's a fairy, and SHE's a witch" often followed by "and my DADDY's the Obama-monster"
Carolyn seemed geniunely surprised that at each house she got a "treat", but quickly realized that people are suckers for a shy girl with cute curls. She found that if she hung back from the group she could usually go back for seconds and even thirds.
We officially have enough candy to last until Christmas and Nathan can't wait for Halloween to come around so he can be Batman again.
